Visit Hungary

Hungary is home of the largest synagogue in Europe (Great Synagogue), the largest medicinal bath in Europe (Széchenyi Medicinal Bath), the third largest church in Europe (Esztergom Basilica), the second largest territorial abbey in the world (Pannonhalma Archabbey), the second largest Baroque castle in the world (Gödöllő), and the largest Early Christian Necropolis outside Italy (Pécs).

So you have several places well worth seeing in Hungary. We suggest you to use within Budapest public transportation facilities and drive your own car or rent a car or even a motorcycle from us for your countyside trips.

Lake Balaton
Lake Balaton is 78 kilometers long and from 3 to 14 kilometers wide, with an area of 592 square kilometers. Hungarians often refer to it as the 'Hungarian Sea'. It is Central Europe's largest freshwater lake and an important recreation area. Its shallow waters offer good summer swimming, and in winter its frozen surface provides excellent opportunities for winter sports. The major resorts around the lake are Siófok, Keszthely and Balatonfüred. Siófok is known often as the Party Capital of Hungary, which attracts many young party goers in summer due to its numerous large discos. Balaton is not too far away from Budapest (90 km on highway) we suggest to make a trip there.

Esztergom is one of the oldest towns in Hungary about 50 km north-west of the capital Budapest. It lies along the river Danube, which forms the border with Slovakia there. Esztergom was the capital of Hungary from the 10th till the mid-13th century and it was the Royal Seat, it offers a great variety of sights. In the town, the atmosphere of the past comes to life. Travelers are amazed by the unique secular and religious cultural heritage. Its cathedral, Esztergom Basilica is the largest church in Hungary. One of the newest sights of Esztergom is the Mária Valéria bridge, connecting Esztergom with the city of Stúrovo in Slovakia. German troops destroyed it in 1944, and was rebuilt in 2001 with the support of the European Union. Aquasziget wellness spa recently opened with 10 internal and external pools, 4 slides, jacuzzi and sauna.
